Greasing and lubrication

Before carrying out any work on the machine:

  1. Disengage the power take-off (PTO).

  2. Switch off the tractor engine.

  3. Remove the ignition key.

  4. Wait until all moving parts have come to a complete stop and apply the parking brake.

  5. Place the machine in maintenance position (Maintenance position).

  • Greasing intervals are indicated for normal operating conditions.

  • Clean the grease nipples before greasing.

  • Lubricate with NLGI 2 grade multipurpose grease.

  • Grease all greasing points every 40 hours of use or after each season.


Power take-off (PTO)

  • The cross & bearing (1)

  • The transmission tube (the two grease nipples (2))

  • The guide rings (3)

INFORMATION

Unlock and slide the protective shields to facilitate lubrication of the cross & bearing and the guidance rings of the PTO shaft.

  • At each separation of the 2 half-shaft:

    • The transmission tube (the two grease nipples (2))

Wheel modules lubrication points

DANGER

Before performing any work under the sprayer, ensure that it is in maintenance position and properly secured. Never work under the sprayer if it is not supported by appropriate workshop stands (see chapter Maintenance position).

  1. Place the sprayer in maintenance position as described in the following chapter (Maintenance position).

  2. Ensure that the sprayer is stable and securely supported before accessing the wheel modules.

  3. Lubricate all lubrication points indicated on the wheel modules.

There are 4 lubrication points – 2 points per wheel module.
